Haircut Frequency

Let’s talk haircuts — When was the last time you had a haircut? If you can’t remember…it’s safe to say you’re overdo 💇🏽‍♀️

Getting regular haircuts are key in order to maintain H E A L T H Y hair! If you don’t get rid of those ends, those unwanted split ends will only continue to split further up, causing more breakage & won’t promote growth but will create their own kind of haircut.

Signs You Need a Haircut:

✨Experiencing a lot of flyaway strands
✨You have lots of single strand knots
✨Your style isn’t as fresh as it used to be
✨Split ends are traveling up your hair shaft
✨Your ends dry faster than the rest of your hair
✨Your hair is limp and lacking volume
✨Your naturally curly hair is now straight (or your hair has lost its bounce)

📌 Fact: Regular trims are super important for maintaining healthy ends and avoiding breakage

How Long Can You Go Between Haircuts?

✂️12 weeks >>> if you naturally air-dry your hair and refrain from damaging beauty habits
✂️Four weeks >>> if you are heavy-handed on heat styling with a curling iron or receiving a high lift colour service

Regarding hair types:

✂️ Four to eight weeks >>> if you have straight hair
✂️ Six to 12 weeks >>> for anyone with wavy or curly hair
✂️ Two months >>> if you have coil-y, tight curls and kinky patterns

A tip for you: apply argan oil to ends of hair to help treat and camouflage split ends in between trims. 🌝
